Coronation Street local Angie Appleton (played by Victoria Ekanoye) has had a tough time recently.
Her husband, Jude Appleton (Paddy Wallace), has been continually lying to her for months.
He originally claimed he was a marine biologist at the local aquarium, however he was merely working at the gift shop.
Since then he claimed to have saved someone’s life, and has most recently run away to Blackpool to masquerade as a surgeon called Ken Barlow.
This week saw some emotional scenes when Angie broke the news to her mother-in-law, Mary Taylor (Patti Clare), she had decided to leave Weatherfield with her child.
However Angie’s actor Victoria has recently spoken to The Sun Online and hinted at her character’s return.
She said: “I’ve honestly had the time of my life and I can’t believe it’s been 18 months, it’s felt like no time but I guess time flies when you’re having fun.”
But she went on to hint that the fun she has been having may not be over quite yet.
She added: “There was a lot of stuff left unresolved and I may or may not be able to confirm those things.
“Adam’s going to go out to visit, and Mary will – because of the amazing connection she has made between Angie and George, so we’ll see.”
Fans of the show were a little disappointed by Angie’s exit as they were eager to see her and Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson) get together.
Fans were very outspoken on Twitter about her becoming an item with Adam, with one writing: “Bye bye Angie. Sad to see you go. I was hoping you’d get cosy with Adam. #corrie.”
Another agreed: “Somethings gonna go on between Angie and Adam #CoronationStreet #Corrie.”
Could the potential romance between Adam and Angie be enough for the latter to decide to return to Weatherfield once again?
Meanwhile Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) is about to receive some bad news about her pregnancy.
The youngster has been struggling lately as she has been forced to deal with her pregnancy alongside her harrowing cancer diagnosis.
And upcoming episodes will see her receiving a worrying phone call from the hospital.
Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard) goes on to ask what the call was about, to which Sinead replies: “Hospital, they want me to come in and see them tomorrow.
“Something’s come up on the scan.”
Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
