Helen Flanagan started acting on Coronation Street back in 2000 when she took on the role of Rosie Webster, and although she’s currently on a break, she has now said a return is certain.
The 28-year-old left the soap last year as she was expecting her second child, Delilah, with footballer husband Scott Sinclair.
The actress was already mum to another daughter, Matilda, who was born in 2015 and the family are currently based in Glasgow.
But now Helen has confirmed she will “definitely” go back to the popular ITV soap.
“Having children has totally changed my priorities. It gives me meaning and purpose,” she told The Mirror.
“With Scott’s job we’re settled in Glasgow at the moment but I’d love to go back to Coronation Street. It’s just a matter of when and how I work it.
“We all share parenting tips in the green room at Corrie. It’s such a family atmosphere. I went to the National Television Awards the other week, which was fab. It was really fun to get glammed up again and to feel nice in my dress.
“All my old Corrie mates got to meet [my daughter] at breakfast. I miss everyone so much I definitely will go back. It’s just when that will be.”
A potential return is certainly open for Rosie as the character went off to Japan to work on a gameshow.
She departed from the cobbles in true Rosie style and even appeared on This Morning.
Although, she has missed a lot while she’s been away, including her mother Sally’s (Sally Dynevor) incarceration.
Luckily, Sally is now free after evil Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) was caught out.
But viewers will have to wait and see when Rosie will return as no definite date has been set.
Elsewhere on the soap, there looks to be a very interesting baby storyline coming up.
It has been reported that Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) will become parents to not one, but four babies.
According to The Sun, the two of them are set to have quadruplets after getting together.
An insider told the publication: “The show’s new boss, Iain MacLeod, is keen to inject a bit of old-fashioned humour into Coronation Street like in the years gone by and this storyline will have viewers in stitches.
“Gemma doesn’t miss a trick and instantly thinks of ways she can make some dosh out of her and Chesney’s unexpected news.”
There’s little doubt four children could be a strain on the pair, so viewers will have to see how the pair cope.
Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
