EastEnders spoilers: Callum Highway and Ben’s romance doomed as undertaker breaks down | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Callum Highway (played by Tony Clay) saved Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) from being hit by a train in tonight’s episode as the teen admitted to his family he’s been haunted by visions of his dead sister Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater). The undertaker saw Bobby walk off of the platform on to the tracks and rushed after him but soon realised the young lad was looking to hurt himself.

EastEnders viewers have seen Bobby talking to a vision of Lucy as the teen comes to terms with killing her.

When Callum approached Bobby on the train tracks, he realised he was fixated on talking to someone but was able to push him out of the way of oncoming train just in time.

Later on in the BBC soap, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) arrived at the hospital and thanked Callum for saving Bobby.

After standing Ben up, Callum said: “I’m really sorry about the date.”

“I don’t suppose you’ll be free again,” Ben asked before Callum told him he would let him spend time with his family.

“Your nephew will need you,” he said. “I’ll call you.”

“Tell Bobby to hang in there,” he added before leaving Ben at the hospital.

However once Callum was out of sight he broke down in tears.

Before arriving on the square, Callum served in the army and has spoken about his grief at losing friends in the past.

Despite finally being able to stop hiding his true feelings for Ben, the pair may have to face another hurdle.

Will Callum’s grief stop him from pursuing a relationship with Ben?

Elsewhere, Chantelle Atkin’s (Jessica Plummer) harrowing abuse at the hands of husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) may be exposed.

Chantelle has kept the abuse secret so far in the hope Gray will change.

However in upcoming scenes, the hairdresser is rushed to A&E after cutting her hand.

The nurse notices visible bruises on her body but it is not yet known how Chantelle will explain them.

Is Gray’s violent behaviour about to be exposed?

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by Chantelle’s storyline, the BBC have a wide range of information and support regarding domestic abuse. See the full list of helplines and charities here.
