EastEnders fans watched on in disbelief as Linda (played by Kellie Bright) announced her divorce from Mick (Danny Dyer).
The once-strong couple have been torn apart by Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ).
Ever since Mick went to prison, Linda has been unsure what to think about her loyal companion.
Stuart has made her believe Mick is a twisted and evil individual after Stuart staged a scenario which made it look as though he had been shot by Mick.
In tonight’s episode of EastEnders, Linda made her intentions clear. Her relationship with Mick is over.
Making himself at home and walking upstairs inside The Queen Vic, Stuart went to speak to Linda.
However, in a strange twist, Stuart asked Linda not to split with Mick.
He said: “Good people can do bad things when pushed.
“You could give him another chance. I forgive him. Maybe you should?”
As soon as Stuart left the room, Linda picked up her phone.
Linda then made an unexpected phone call to a solicitor to request help.
She said: “Hello? Yeah, my name’s Mrs Carter. I want to speak to someone.
“About my husband. About getting a divorce. Yeah. As soon as possible.”
How will Mick react when he finds out and eventually leaves prison?
Could Stuart be at risk after causing the pair to split?
Linda also had a re-think after noticing Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) had seemingly turned to drink after chaos with her husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).
Alfie and Kat video-called each other which ended in a screaming match over their children.
Linda confided in Kat how she never realised how “stuck” she was until “this happened”.
She went on to add how she could no longer trust Mick, and the pair agreed to keep each other’s news a secret.
