Game of Thrones season 8 news: Jon Snow star share gory filming secret | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Kit Harington has revealed he almost suffered a gruesome fate shooting a scene on a flying mechanical dragon.

The actor, who plays Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, recounted the moment he was swung around by his testicles filming the dramatic moment.

“Buck work is not easy,” the 32-year-old quipped in a behind-the-scenes clip for Game Revealed.

“I think what sums up the buck for me was there was a bit where Jon almost falls off [the dragon].”

Going into graphic detail, the English TV star explained how he feared for his life when his private parts got stuck in the machine.

“It swings round really violently and my right ball got trapped and I didn’t have time to say stop and I was being swung round,” he added.

“In my head I thought, ‘This is how it ends, on this buck swinging me round by my testicles’. Literally.”

The award-winning actor continued: “Probably too much information.”

Season eight of the HBO television drama premiered in the US on April 14 and in the UK the following day.

The highly-anticipated final series received record ratings, with some 17.4 million people in the US having watched Sunday night’s premiere episode.

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner appeared to be one of those who tuned in on the night as she hit back at a fan who criticised her on-screen persona, Sansa Stark.

The 23-year-old star shut down a fan who questioned why Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow had called the Lady of Winterfell the “smartest person” they know in the premiere episode.

On Twitter, the viewer complained she had fallen for Petyr Baelish’s (Aidan Gillen), also known as Littlefinger, tricks, therefore she was undeserving of the title.

They wrote: “OK but like I’m confused as to how Sansa is the smartest person she [Arya] knows when homegirl was five seconds away from falling into Petyr’s s**t.”

In response, a sassy Sophie said: “Girl… I never was,” winning praise from her fans, who were quick to comment on the thread.

One person remarked: “OMG yes keep dragging Sansa haters,”(sic) as another wrote: “Sophie really has to spell it out for them.”

A third fan added: “Sansa has had amazing character growth. As she said, she’s slow but she learns and we love her.”

Someone else remarked: “You tell them girl. I’m with Sansa, we trust the only queen, the queen in the north.”

“Set these fool straight Lady Stark,” quipped a sixth, as another exclaimed: “YOU GO GIRL.”

Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the US and the following day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
