Katya, 29, was pictured kissing her partner Seann, 32, after rehearsals rehearsals last month, just weeks before their Strictly Come Dancing exit.
Although Katya and her husband Neil, 35, both stated their relationship had not been affected, the two had not been seen together on screen since the media reports.
Seann’s relationship did take a knock as his ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries publicly announce their split on Twitter after the kiss.
However last night, Katya and Neil were seen dancing together during the opening number on the BBC dance show, with singer Gloria Estefan, 61, making a guest appearance.
The couple were joined by their fellow professional dancers in a bright-coloured and energetic number, with the women wearing showgirl costumes and the men sporting a white suit.
Fans of the show were pleased to see the pair reunited on-screen and took to social media to voice their excitement Katya and Neil were dancing together.
One wrote on Twitter: “Wish I didn’t actually tear up watching Neil and Katya in that dance but here we are,” after being overcome with emotion.
“NEIL & KATYA AT THE FRONT YES !!!!!!,” a second added as they noticed the pair took centre stage towards the end of the dance.
A third commented: “Katya and Neil dancing together again I’m so happy.”
Whilst a fourth stated: “Neil and Katya taking centre stage in the campest, most exciting Latin party routine in Blackpool with Gloria Estefan singing is EVERYTHING #Strictly.”
Kate had just performed an America Smooth with her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec, 28, when the couple went to speak to Claudia after the judges comments.
Claudia congratulated the pair on their routine and said the newsreader must be making her children at home so proud.
Kate then added: “Can I just? Clemency, mummy loves you. I’ll be back on Sunday. ‘Hello’ to Daddy too. I love you and miss you,” as she fought back the tears.
After hearing the scores and being awarded a combined total of 30, Claudia then quickly said: “I felt bad that I mentioned your babies and made you emotional. But I’m so sorry.”
Although scoring a high mark, Kate found herself second from last on the leaderboard with Ashley Roberts, 37, at the top after scoring the first 40 of the series.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.20pm on BBC One.
