The keto diet has been credited by many for their weight loss.

Now a woman has revealed how the diet plan helped her to lose 9.6 stone.

The amazing transformation helped the Reddit user, whose name is Brandiaston, lose 135lbs.

She shrank from 18.6 stone to a petite 9.6 stone, losing her her body weight.

The dieter revealed that she is now a tiny size four.

the 44-year-old Reddit user shared her before and after pictures on the site.

In the after image she wears a glittery gold dress showing off her much slimmer frame.

She told Reddit users she had weight loss surgery before using the keto diet.

The dieter had the surgery six years ago and now followers a keto diet.

She added: “When I first started losing, I was running about five miles a day, it really helped me with toning.”

So what is the keto diet

The low carb plan sees dieters eat more fat and protein.

The idea of the diet is to put the body into a state of ketosis.

This is an alternative metabolic rate in which the body burns fat instead of carbohydrates to survive.

What food can you eat on the keto diet?

Diet Doctor tells dieters on the plan that they can have an almost infinite amount of meat.

Those on keto diet also need not limit fish, olive oil, or coconut fat.

Eggs, butter, avocado and cheese are all also very low in carbohydrates.
